Thornloe is a substantial Victorian House on 3 floors situated on a hill overlooking Oban Bay with stunning views towards the Isle of Kerrera and across to Mull. We are just 5 minutes walk from the Town centre. All our 7 rooms are ensuite.
Thornloe is completely non-smoking. Valerie is a keen genealogist and more than happy to help with your research to find the elusive missing ancestors.
The house has been recently refurbished to a high standard throughout including upgrading of all shower/bathrooms and new comfortable beds to ensure a good nights sleep.
On a fine day you can relax on our Patio in the garden and watch the many ferries to the Islands go by or enjoy the colourful sunsets.
We are centrally located and close to Atlantis Leisure Centre which includes an indoor swimming pool,squash and tennis courts, health & fitness suites as well as a bouldering wall for children.
All rooms have :- Hairdryers Remote control TV's Hospitality trays Clock radios Shaver sockets Video &/or DVD Players. Additionally our Sea Facing Doubles have Digital Flat Screen TVs with Freeview and DVD players.
Mini Fridge available at £2 a day. All the ensuites have showers apart from the twin room which also has a bath.
Please note all rooms have standard size beds except for Room 4 the non sea facing double with a Kingsize bed.
For a touch of luxury we have a Four Poster Suite which has a large shower room and seating area to enjoy the panoramic view across to Mull.

Additionally there are TV/Videos in all our rooms. There is a library of books, videos and dvd's for our guests to use during their stay.
A travel cot is also available free of charge for small babies.
